Well, it's depressing when your telecommunications provider is one of the
most high-tech, innovative and prestigious in the world and they cant get
your landline fixed up for 3 weeks after you move into a new abode.

Gits!

Having to use friend's machines is sooooo degrading!

I'm guessing that you use BT internet then. NTL, Wannado and a whole load of
others are better :)

Updates!!! Two days before engineer came to connect my landline, I had a
phone call from BT saying they are having problems getting a connection for
me and it's going to take a further FOUR WEEKS! - so..... considering there
was a working phone line there before, with broadband enabled, I now have to
wait a total of SEVEN weeks for a working line - does that make sense,
considering how technologically superb BT are supposed to be??

How does one cope without a telephone and internet? Now I know how Cov
feels :((((

What happened was this.

Some honch in a cushy office on Earth says "Go look at broadband for a grid
reference." I go look. I don't ask why. I don't ask why because it takes
seven weeks to reconnect to broadband out here and the answer's always
"Don't ask".

HTH.

"new accountee". So line got disconnected and now I am left with nothing!

They sent you out there and they didn't even warn you. They are responsible
for the death of your broadband connection....
