Can anyone ID this Italian movie?

This may be the wrong place to ask......but here goes.

Maybe 10 years ago I rented what I believe to have been a B Italian
horror film (english subtitles) about a newly wed couple. The cottage
they are staying in has a cellar? and the wife is drawn to it where
she appears to have sex with some sort of alien creature that is
using mind control on the young woman. The alien looks mostly like
a large pile of flesh that trembles a lot. Has any one seen this film
and remember it title?

Doesn't ring a bell.

You can always try an advanced search at www.imdb.com by
trying some different plot keywords. I don't really see enough
in the above description for a decent search. But maybe you
can think of some better keywords.

Using Italy as the country of origin, with only the keyword "alien"
and searching from 1980-2000, the only title that showed up
was Contamination (1980).

Wow, talk about Alien rip-off which I haven't seen yet! Part of
IMDb's plot summary reads: "A ship pulls into New York Harbor
with no one on board. The police find a cargo full of green pulsating
eggs. Upon contact, the eggs explode spreading a green acid like
substance that seeps into the skin and explodes."

Anyway, you might also try rec.arts.movies.past-films. I haven't
been there for quite awhile, but there use to be some very
knowledgable people who might be able to help.

well, the only movie which I know about which involves an alien looking
monster with mind control abilities which has sex with someone's wife
is Possession, which stars Sam Neil and Isabelle Adjani, and features a
monster created by Carlo Rambaldi, it was filmed in Berlin and also was
written and directed by Andrzej Zulawski

but I can't say that this is neccessarily your movie, since the couple
are not newly married, I don't think there is a cottage in it either.
