You can- it says it normally dispatches in 1 or 2 weeks, which means they
probably order in specially when someone orders it.

You can-
I can order it from Amazon france and have it delivered to me in Sweden? I've
never ordered from Amazon before, so I really want to make sure first.

Even if I can - I am wondering if I could successfully fill out the order
form... :)

Anyone know if this item is in stock (or available) from anther location where
the order form is in english? :)

This *was* available in the UK amazon a good while back.
I think any amazon will deliver to anywhere (Canadian delivers to UK
definitely)
But it's the postage that might hammer you internationally. (I dunno if the
free post works internationally y'see.)

Thanks - I'm still having second thoughts since I really can't read french and
don't even know what buttons to press. Perhaps Amazon is similar enough over
countries so I could have Amazon UK open in another window and compare for each
step in the process (but not complete it in the UK page)

Upon closer inspection - this seems to be a auction placeholder. ALl links from
this page seems to link to people wanting to sell their copies of this. But why
point out availability then?

Any help would be appreciated.

It *could* be that you are clicking on the "New and Used for sale" button.
But they are usually set pirces, not auctions..

(Weird though.. I've seen stuff *double* the price of the lowest one on
those lists!)

I was able to get the general gist of the thing (I think!) just from using
http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr, and doing a machine translation. My
prior knowledge of French is one year of attending French class back when I
was 13 (gulp: 22yrs ago!), so I am pretty bloody diabolical at making head
or tail of it.

Does this page say if this item is in stock or not?
Yes. "D'occasion" seems to mean "Used"; "Neuf" means "New" (here's me
thinking it meant "nine" ;-)

It also makes life easier of you compare with the .co.uk site, because the
layout is similar.

If you want to buy the thing, click the "ajouter au panier" ("Add to
basket").

Just to confirm what the others have said: yes. I dunno how the Amazon
2nd-hand stuff works... it might be up to the seller if they are prepared
to courier stuff overseas, and how much extra they will charge. It looks
like there are some delivery comments in the details for each item (so a
bit different from the .co.uk site, which has a separate link). I have
only ever bought third-party stuff once from Amazon, and it was local (and
arrived within 3 days!).

(so did I)

But ok - the link to "4 new" leads me to a page where individuals (i.e. not

I don't mind the price - but can one trust this?

The vendors' star ratings are based on real-user feedback. I would err
towards vendors that have a LOT of customer ratings, and a high average.

Yeah, but I even suggested to correlate the UK site to the french one myself.
Problem comes when you get to pages in the order flow where you have to enter
and submit your order, which I don't want to do on the UK site just to see how
it's done. :)

Is this .com or .co.uk? I have used Amazon.co.uk for nearly 5 years

I did much the same thing when checking whether the sites did mirror each
other... beyond a point I was thinking "oh, I can't be arsed putting my
credit card details in, etc, just to see if the sites are parallel all the
way to the end, just to help Sandman" (no diss meant).

However... surely it's just the LAST button you oughtn't press in the

That said... there used to be some bloody Frogs on this NG... what's

This is not sold my amazon itself but THROUGH amazon. This is third
party sellers items. NO AUCTIONS (this is not eBay).

Yes you can buy items from french Amazon website to be sent all over the
world (but shipping will be more expensive).

The one at 219 euros is "used" but looks good (not delivered in its
original box, contrary to the others), but the seller has only three
evaluations : 2 good and 1 bad (no answer to email).
