New Scientist, this week, has an article on hibernation / suspended
animation.

And the photo they chose to accompany it was a still of the hypersleep
chamber of Nostromo, just as the lids were lifting.

Like a flower blossoming in a nature documentary - which resemblance I take
it was not accidental.
