Yes yes yes, I know I know
Offensive as it is
It is very much an 'in' joke in ACMA
well a acma from a different time and place.
Sorry but as I said was saving the bastard up and up
To answer your question, ya I was a digger for a while.
No more. Times change
Times change again

Hardly a lustrous career
I started as a scout or 'point man'
Moved to machine gunner
and settled into an assault pioneer role
did a coupla deployments in asia, but all were excersizes or training

Perhaps now would be a good time for Adam to bail me out
Don't make me bring up Waldou again
:)
Anyway soldier, well met.
I hope my need for a laugh, didn't come off too badly

PEACE FOREVER
Post by USCM MikePost by swarvegorilla*it's obvious you never spent any time in the military!
I not sure how you came up with that comment. I suggest you think before
you open your mouth. I spent 28 years in the Canadian Army. I worked with
infantry, armour and I was a weapons technician that serviced land weapons
from .22 LR to 105mm howitzer and everything in between. I liked machine
guns and sniper rifles the best. I was a paratrooper and a senior NCO. I
did 2 overseas tours, one in sunny Cyprus with the UN and a shithole
called Somalia on a "peace making" mission. I also did 3 years in West
Germany from '82-85 (before the wall came down) employed in armoured
reconnaissance, a year before the movie Aliens even came out.

Uhmm, that's a hockey saying. Ever held a hockey stick in your hands?
So, tell me about your long and lustrous military background. Did you
serve in the Australian military or what?
Mike
