OT: rugby and Edinburgh

Yo Covenant:
It occurs to me that I'm going to be in Edinburgh on Sept 22 and 23 for the
ABs v Scotland game (Rugby World Cup, for you Seppos and other ignorant
types). Wanna grab a pint on the night of 22/9? I fucked up our
accommodation, so we're staying the Sat night instead of the Sun night
(going back to London on the overnight train, after the match on Sunday).

Swarve: if NZ doesn't get buried by France in the Q/F, I'm expecting to
meet you lot (and losing to you) in the final. Don't suppose you're coming
over for it?

Hi Joe - I must admit, looking out the window now, the torrential rain
is unbelievable and theres about 3 inches of water on the patio and
the rain has been like this for two weeks. Kinda brings a person
down.

But, where I live is pretty safe - not close to any main rivers.
Other parts of Wales have it bad because of flatter plains and rivers
swelling up.

And England - the *shires* have been hit real hard - poor sods!

Mother nature sure likes to remind us occasionally of who has the
upper hand!

It's not been bad up here at ALL.

In fact there's been an awful lot of bright sunny weather here.

I'm just wondering (hoping) that Derby is okay at the end of August!

But yes... Just when we think we've a handle on everything... "Hello! I'm
Gaia Nature, you jumped up mammals need a little jolt to remember who's in
charge here!"

What gets ME is the "SOMEONE MUST BE TO BLAME!" mentality that a lot of
people are jumping into.
