I'd give a spoiler warning for this trailer, but I'm firmly of the
opinion that Mr. Anderson will have achieved that long before I ever
watch the actual movie. Nevertheless, this does seem to show every
single death in the movie (or, if it doesn't show at least a
significant fraction, then this movie has way too many gratuitous
death scenes).

It also seems they're trying to get a Ripley-alike back into the
series with Reiko Aylesworth (of "24" fame).

Meh. I'll see it, but so far my expectations are rather lower than
they were for the first one. Hopefully this way I can at least
convince myself to switch off my brain and enjoy the popcorn.

...and having written that, I've only just noticed that Paul W.S.
Anderson isn't directing this one. Seems it's the directorial debut
for a couple of visual effects guys.

I stand by my previous assertion. Just swap in a couple of different
names where appropriate.

I've seen a shot of the Predalien suit from the side, and it looks to
me as if Roger Corman could have had a better suit done for one of his
movies, or maybe I've seen something more realistic 20 years ago in Dr
Who. Maybe I shouldn't had turned the brightness up too high because
well one can see too much then.

Oh, it looks like it could be an OK action movie. Which would make it
better than most action movies that come out these days.

It also seems they're trying to get a Ripley-alike
And they've done a good job, by the looks of it.

I shan't be losing any sleep in anticipation of this, but I imagine I'll go
see it. I *enjoyed* AvP, in a certain kind of way. Certainly more than I
did A:R (OK, that's a crap yardstick).

I've been criticising Gillis and Woodruff's work for so long anyway,
AvP succeeded because you could hardly see the aliens because of the
darkness

Those *special fx* when everything is a bit fuzzy and jarring back and
forth really, really narks me! Thats what I hated about AvP.

Requiem will satisfy me as an action movie - but I will treat it like
I did Ar(se) and AvP - I will regard it as nothing to do with A, A's,
A3 - just an action packed, sci-fi gorefest movie.

And its a bit silly giving us post-Ripley imagery - action woman
protecting child. I suppose they have to steal something from the
originals to give us fans some reward...... like we will compare to
Sigourney! hmpf!
