We have up some new information on our site regarding AVP 2. We are
also planning an interview with the newly announced directors, Greg and

well, I am wondering if there is anything interesting about these
Strause brother's work. I have never heard of them before. Should I
ignore the movie? I'm sure that I'll try to read the interviews, and
see if they have any insight into the movie they're making. Maybe these
people might not interest me at all to talk to if I bumped into them in
the middle of the street and they wanted to talk to me about Alien vs
Predator. Okay, well at least the special effects might be fine.

Maybe a question for them might be whether they had any real interest
in the Alien mythos before they were offered the AvP job.

To try to answer your question/concerns Dom:

"We really want to take it back to the original 'Alien' and 'Predator'
films and make a serious, gritty horror film," Colin Strause said.

"We want to take it back to its roots, without losing sight of the
human struggle," added Greg Strause. "That's what made the originals so
good."

That is from a Variety interview with the Strause's. They also say they
tried to get the first AVP but Fox took Anderson over them (big
mistake).

I'm not sure what to make of that. Well, if the Alien biomechanoid
designs are interesting enough and well executed, I'm probably going to
watch this movie and collect the interviews for this movie whatever the
case. We'll see what manifests

Predator movie. They might be great Predator fans with a great
understanding of the original movie and of course this is half of what
it is all about while maybe I'm not such a great Predator fan. So I
don't know about them making a great Alien movie, but I'll be an open
minded skeptic.

There isn't a draft scipt online per se. Ain't it Cool News had posted
a review of a leaked draft script a while back that caused a stir. They
had to take it down after Fox issued a cease and desist order. That's
when I took the review off my site...

gosh, I wish that someone would accidently on purpose just put the
review online maybe in a forum. Was it a favourable review?

I looked at the information about AVP2 on imdb and was sad to see
Woodruff and Gillis' name amongst the credits. Well, maybe with any
luck all the creature shots will be reduced to shadowy glimpses.

The review trashed the script. Picked it apart and hung it out to dry. It
was a terrible script apparently. This is why Fox didn't want the review
online.

well, I took a look at the AlienExperience website, I was fascinated to
know about the stolen AVP2 Alien suit on e-bay in terms that it looked
very promising as if the Strause brothers might actually know what they
want. I wish I had seen it on ebay and taken a look at the photos

oh no, it's seems like the same old alien body suit type that Gillis
and Woodruff use but at least they've done something that seems to
restore the old style alien head. I wonder if the suit originally had a
dome with it. It almost seems as if it has the structures around the
side of the front that look almost like foetal eyes but they seem to be
where the main side pipes start from. The back of the head looks a
little odd

The back of the head looks rather longer than I've seen it in a while
but with a spade like shape at the back, I wonder if that's because of
the typical flat bottom that Gillis and Woodruff's Alien heads seemed
to have had in the last couple of movies.

It's nice to see the biomechanic piping running along underneath the
neck. I don't have any clear photos at hand that show me whether or
not the previous alien warriors had any piping there. Probably they
didn't.
