well, I wonder how far this film managed to get with killing of the
Alien and Predator franchises. I didn't like the movie at all, I
couldn't see how I was going to appreciate it anyway, the director's
haven't revealed themselves in the interviews to have a vision for
Alien or Predator that seemed in the slightest bit inspiring, the
script writer had nothing of interest to reveal in the script. It
seems to be number one this week in the British cinema charts, but
then there's nothing much on at the cinema to kill the boredom.

I almost don't want to talk about the movie at all because the
experience doesn't really make me feel happy. This might be an ideal
movie for those who have been brought up on videogames. I suppose
maybe the Predator looked good

Hi there!

I have no interest in seeing this movie, at all!!! I just about
forced myself to see the first AVP and was not impressed by any of
it. Watched it again the other night just to see if I missed anything
the first time round and............ NAH!

I think they should have simply stuck to the vid games, personally!

I want a movie about the SJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Uh, if you hadn't noticed, the Predator franchise was killed off by
Predator 2 and the Alien franchise by Alien 3. Everything after that
is just a dead horse being beaten. Take it as mindless action and
leave it at that. :P

What I meant is that it's worth watching if you like nice action and
some explosions and don't mind a vague Alien/Predator reference now
and then. If you think Starship Troopers was an ok way to spend an
hour and a half, AVP2 is just up your alley. If you demand that every
movie you watch should be a work of art from a genius, well... You
have a hard time watching any movies made this century. :)

I found Starship Troopers entertaining, but I certainly didn't find
AVP:R entertaining. I probably found Starship Troopers 2 just about
more entertaining than AVP:R
